About Us
We are a husband-wife team (Papa Sam and Grandma Marg to our granddaughters) located along the northern front-range of Colorado. We founded Jackson’s Black Dog Coffee Company in 2022 with the idea of sharing our love for good, fresh, air-roasted coffee with family, friends and neighbors. More about us…
Our Beans
We believe that a great cup of coffee starts with quality green coffee beans. We source our green beans from Genuine Origin, a member of a vast collective of coffee exporters from all around the world that adhere to rigorous quality control procedures as well as ethical considerations for the farmers and their stewardship of the land for future generations.
Our Process
The first step in turning those high-quality green beans into your next cup of coffee is the roast. The two most common roasting techniques are drum-roasting and air-roasting. We believe that fluid-bed roasting, AKA air-roasting, produces a superior cup of coffee with a noticeably smooth, crisp flavor.
Our Product
We believe your bean and roast preferences should fit your palate. We typically offer 3-5 beans sourced from Genuine Origin; roasted medium, medium plus or dark to your preference. Coffee is best consumed between 3 and 21 days of roasting. That is why all of our fresh air-roasted coffee is roasted to order, immediately bagged in a bag with a one-way valve to allow de-gassing while limiting air exposure and sent to you. Our coffee may be purchased whole-bean or ground.
